Dinner Made Simple with Dorot Gardens

Hey y’all! So please tell me I’m not the only mom out there running wild around the kitchen just trying to get a meal on the table come dinner time?! Having a 10-month old who is crawling around, getting ready to walk and bumping into things here and there is stressful enough honestly, sometimes I don’t even think I’ll make it to dinnertime.

There’s times I’ve considered calling someone in to help me in the kitchen, because after the chopping and cooking comes the cleaning, yay! Thankfully, there’s Dorot Gardens, one of the best mom hacks I’ve come across. It is really like having my own personal Sous Chef in there helping me. Dorot Gardens provides the perfect amount of herbs, with no prep or clean up!

If you haven’t tried Dorot Gardens, then head out to your local Kroger store and search in the frozen vegetables section, there you will find the small boxes with frozen cubed herbs. Pick up one or two for your next meal and experience the wonders Dorot Gardens has to offer, best of all, they’re easy to use and brings your meals to an entirely new level.

I picked up Dorot Gardens Crushed Garlic and Chopped Cilantro. I don’t know about you, but I am constantly having to toss out my cilantro because I buy so much and only use less than one bunch, just a bit of cilantro completely transforms my dish. And well the garlic… can’t peel it fast enough. Seriously, why didn’t I think of this before!

So one dish that get’s me all the “Mommy I love you, this is so good!” is Sopa de Fideo, it’s really simple to make and is always a comfort meal during cold days, so I thought I could speed up the time I spend getting everything prepped with the help of Dorot Gardens, by adding a cube of crushed garlic and chopped cilantro. Let’s make!

Sopa de Fideo

8oz package of fideo noodles

2 tomatoes

1/4 med. onion

1 cube of Dorot Gardens Crushed Garlic

1 cube of Dorot Gardens Chopped Cilantro

3 tbsp vegetable oil

8 cups of chicken broth

Salt to taste
Instructions:

Cut tomatoes in half and puree with about 1/3 cup of water.

Pre-heat vegetable oil on medium high. Add fideo noodles and onion, stir until well coated and noodles take a light brown color, some may be darker and that’s ok.

Once noodles are browned, stir in tomato puree, and Dorot Gardens Crushed Garlic cube. Stir.

Stir in chicken broth, bring soup to a boil. Add salt.

Add Dorot Gardens Chopped Cilantro, cover and simmer on low heat for some 10 minutes. Serve warm.
