So Mother?s Day is right around the corner and I?ve been thinking about what I will be giving my mom since the beginning of the year! I feel like she deserves to have the Best Mom"s Day Ever! My mom is my everything, I don?t know what I would do without her. As I?ve grown up I"ve gotten closer to my mother, our mother-daughter relationship has become stronger. More than a mother, I see her as my best friend, one with whom I can talk about anything, any problem I have she will gladly hear me out and give the best advice. She has been there with me through thick and thin, always ready to provide a helping hand expecting nothing in exchange. My mother has unconditional love for her children. She?s my role model, a hardworking woman since the age of eight, she can never stay still, always ready to whip up our favorite meal no matter how tired she is. I know that never in a million years I could be half the mother to my daughter as she is to me. But I try :)
Anyone who meets my mom and gets to know her, knows just how wonderful she is. As one lady said, she?s an Angel. Mother has worked at a senior living facility for over 15 years, I too have grow up here helping her on weekends when she cleans or when she has "babies" to care for, as she calls them. I feel so proud to call her my mom, when she walks in, residents smile and show how happy they are to see her. As a child I always wished she would be a stay at home mom that way she could accompany us on school field trips or attend school programs, but today I see all the sacrifices she and my father have done to provide for our family because we always had food on the table, clean clothes on our backs, and decent shoes on our feet. All those early 5 am drop-offs at the babysitter meant something, they meant we were loved, because today as a mother when I drop off my daughter to go off to work I know the feeling she must have had. This Mother"s Day I want her to know that all her sacrifices and hard work were not in vain. This Mother?s Day I want to show my mom how much I love her. How truly grateful I am to have her in my life.

While at Walmart I was amazed at how cute the "One-Stop Shop" from American Greetings was, they had it all available in one aisle. All kinds of cute gifts for the mom in your life. My mom loves her coffee so I picked up a mug with a small teddy bear in it among other gifts I hope she?ll love. I even had a little help from my daughter helping me choose gifts. She said the pillow described her abuelita very well. But the best one was the American Greetings Card which expressed exactly how I felt towards my mom.
